The project area will be fenced, with video surveillance, which will provide an additional sense of security for residents. The facilities will include several children's playgrounds for different age groups and gazebos for recreation, celebrations or leisure; there will also be landscaping, including fruit trees. A pedestrian bridge will be built over Dreiliņupīte and relaxation spots will be created by the river.

You can find everything in the vicinity of the project, from preschools to secondary schools to various interest groups. The well-developed infrastructure near the project will allow easy access not only to nearby office buildings and educational institutions, but also to other districts of Riga.

Every resident of Merks Mežpilsēta will have the opportunity to visit their favourite shops. Lidl, Mego, Beta, Rimi, Maxima and Sky are nearby.
Sports and recreation
For those who want a greener lifestyle while being in the city, this is the right place. The project is located between Dreiliņupīte, which is slated for cleanup, and the woods, which will provide both peace and the possibility to exercise. Also close to Merks Mežpilsēta are Biķernieki, Jugla and Šmerlis Forests, which are available for various recreational activities and spending time in the fresh air.
Entertainment and culture
Near Merks Mežpilsēta is a variety of entertainment for all ages, from peaceful walks in the woods to adrenaline-filled sensations on the Biķernieki karting track. Also nearby is the largest and most modern museum of antique vehicles in Latvia and the Baltic states – the Riga Motor Museum, which won't leave anyone indifferent.
